About this role
About the Department
- Under the direction of the commissary manager, direct the commissary, laundry and barber/beauty operations within a correctional environment.
- Supervise the laundry operations.
- Train and oversee all inmate workers.
- Ensure proper procedures are utilized.
- Maintain equipment.
- Assist the commissary manager with supply distribution.
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of barber equipment.
- Order and stock necessary equipment and supplies.
- Develop and implement a system to reduce and/or eliminate theft of laundry items.
- Assist in accountability of records inventories, weekly recaps, postings and SCEIS entries.
- Respond to request to staff.
- Perform duties of manager in their absence.
- Schedule subject to change.
