As a Part-Time Assistant Teacher, you will support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging learning experiences, maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment and helping children learn through play and exploration.<br><br> </div><div>Bring your energy, positivity and passion for working with children to our supportive and collaborative school community!<br><br> </div><div>Schedule<br><br> </div><div>Part-Time Position – Approximately 25 hours per week<br>Scheduled Hours: 1:00-6:00PM<br><br> </div><div>Part-Time Assistant Teacher Responsibilities<br><br> </div><ul> <li> Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities </li> <li> Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through positive interactions and active engagement </li> <li> Help maintain a safe, clean, organized and welcoming classroom environment </li> <li> Supervise children and provide individualized support as needed </li> <li> Support classroom routines including meals, diapering/toileting, transitions and playground supervision </li> <li> Assist with daily communication and relationship-building with families </li> <li> Follow all health, safety and licensing regulations </li> <li> Work collaboratively with teachers and administration to create a positive school culture </li> </ul><div>Qualifications<br><br> </div><ul> <li> High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred </li> <li> Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare, preschool or educational setting preferred </li> <li> Warm, patient and nurturing personality </li> <li> Strong teamwork and communication skills </li> <li> Ability to work independently and responsibly </li> <li> Basic understanding of child development </li> <li> Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children </li> <li> Must meet state licensing requirements, including background checks and required credentials </li> </ul><div>Why Join Our School?<br><br> </div><div>At <a href="https://www.goddardschool.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com">The Goddard School</a>, we provide a supportive and fun workplace where teachers are valued and encouraged to grow professionally.
