Mission
In this role you will help HP to Detect, analyze, influence and enable effective implementation of sustainability regulations to ensure that HP achieves compliance. This will include sustainability regulations on WEEE, batteries, packaging, eco design, repair, accessibility, waste shipment, supply chain responsibility, materials, climate, Sustainability Reporting Disclosures, Claims and the circular economy. You will also coordinate within HP to provide technical input to consultation responses and other advocacy support. You will work with your colleagues in other regions to provide a global overview of regulations that could impact HP.
We work 3 days onsite. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
As part of this role, you will:
Help ensure HP product and services are compliant with sustainability regulations and legislation for your countries.
You will maintain a roadmap and dashboard of compliance requirements in these countries.
You will help track, influence and ensure compliance with legislative requirements on WEEE, batteries, packaging, eco design, waste shipment, materials, ESG, climate and the circular economy.
You will develop policy analysis and compliance instructions that will be used to keep internal teams aware of the new legislation and convey the key requirements to the relevant implementation teams.
You will also attend meetings with industry associations key stakeholders and policy makers.
You will work with our colleagues in other regions to provide a global overview of regulations that could impact HP.
You may also support a specialist sustainability program area and compliance improvement projects.

Strong organizational and project management skills to keep track of tasks and ensure completion on time.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English including being comfortable with speaking to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Advocacy / influencing skills – rallying support from internal and external stakeholders to deliver on our objectives.
An analytical approach and innovative mind to develop new ideas, proposals, and solutions.
Strong team-working skills.
Self-starter. Ability to work with minimal direct day-to-day supervision.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a significant sustainability or environmental policy focus (eg Geography, Environmental Policy, Environmental Management, Environmental and Business, Environmental Law or equivalent.)
Expertise in one or more of the following areas: WEEE, batteries, packaging, eco design policy, waste shipment, materials, ESG and the circular economy
Typically, 4-7 years’ experience in a sustainability, policy or compliance role
Knowledge and Skills:
Language skills: Italian and/or German and/or French are a plus
Proven project management skills to lead projects and programs with team members from diverse technical backgrounds.
Ability to collaborate successfully coordinate and direct virtual, matrixed teams and resources to manage multiple projects and deadlines and solve complex problems.
Effective written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
Willingness to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated to make progress towards goals autonomously as needed.
Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience or understanding of productivity software and tools including CoPilot and other AI tools, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, results, and requests at the senior management level.
Salary
The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $127,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
