ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex Fintech Solutions is looking for a Business Automation Engineering Intern with unbounded potential for a development team on the front lines of Apex's high-volume, high-availability trade clearing suite. We partner with some of the industry's hottest next-generation stock trading products. You'll be at the center of rapidly scaling services that will test your limits.

Apex is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic software development team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software engineering, work on exciting projects, and learn from experienced developers in a supportive environment.

To be considered, you must be able to commit to a 10-week hybrid internship and work 40 hours per week during our summer program

What you will do:

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Collaborate with the software engineering team to design new features and functionalities.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Help in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software defects and issues.
  • Contribute to the documentation of software development processes and codebases.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in software engineering.

The skills you'll need to succeed:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Senior standing, May 2027 graduate
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • General interest in Fintech.

Preferred skills:

  • Familiarity with Python and GitHub
  • Experience building UI
  • Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol)
