WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role, the Systems Engineer will provide first-level technical support and assist in maintaining network and systems infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

Provide first-level technical support via phone and email to customers and internal users.

Prioritize and triage incidents received through phone, email, and monitoring systems.

Document all work performed in a detailed and accurate manner within incident ticketing systems.

Escalate incidents to Tier II, Engineering, or Management based on complexity or time constraints.

Assist and/or consult with Tier II or management to meet company-defined SLAs.

Adhere to all documented processes, procedures, and special instructions.

Diagnose, repair, and update server systems, projectors, media players, and satellite receivers.

Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, switching, and routing.

Document recurring issues and resolutions for inclusion in the knowledge base.

Work a 24-hour rotational, shift-based schedule in coordination with the on-site team.

Shifts are scheduled between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM EST (weekdays) and 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM EST (weekends).

Address customer issues promptly and work toward timely resolution.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Services, Engineering, or related field.

One (1) or more years of experience as a network administrator or systems administrator.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Active CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification.
-
Experience providing desktop or systems support.
-
Experience working in a NOC, SOC, or other IT operations environment.

Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
-
Ability to effectively interface with a wide range of technical and non-technical personnel.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
-
Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, and WAN technologies.
-
Working knowledge of routing and switching concepts, including VLANs, 802.1q, VTP, Spanning Tree, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.

Familiarity with firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA, and SonicWall.

Understanding of common enterprise applications and protocols, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, MS-SQL, SSH, Telnet, FTP, and RADIUS.

Knowledge of IT service management concepts, including problem, incident, and change management.
