WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Junior Penetration Tester, you will support offensive security efforts while building hands‑on experience through mentoring, training, and real‑world engagements. This role is ideal for candidates early in their cybersecurity careers who are eager to learn and grow in penetration testing and red team operations.
Key responsibilities include:

Assist in basic penetration testing of networks, applications, and systems

Support red team simulations and exercises under senior team supervision

Help identify security vulnerabilities and contribute to technical findings and reports

Participate in tool usage, documentation, and remediation discussions

Receive structured mentorship and training on penetration testing tools, techniques, and methodologies

Continuously develop technical skills and security knowledge through hands‑on practice
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

One (1) or more years of experience or equivalent foundational knowledge in cybersecurity or IT
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Foundational understanding of:

Networking concepts
-
Operating systems
-
Web technologies
-
Common vulnerabilities and attack vectors

Basic familiarity with security tools such as Nmap, Kali Linux, or similar
-
Strong interest in offensive security and penetration testing
-
Willingness to pursue and obtain a penetration testing certification (e.g., GPEN or equivalent) within the first 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualification:

Interest or experience with scripting or automation (Python, Go, Ruby, etc.)

Entry‑level cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+)

Exposure to lab environments, capture‑the‑flag (CTF) exercises, or academic security projects

Strong curiosity, problem‑solving mindset, and eagerness to learn.
