Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Network Systems Engineer. In this role, you will participate in Infrastructure engineering activities including product selection, design, development, deployment, integration and test. Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Linux and network systems, as well as ensuring their performance and reliability.
Some travel is required to offsite locations.
Must be a US Citizen; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Experience using Agile Methodology.
• Experience using scripting languages, such as Python, Ansible, and/or bash.
• Must be a US Citizen; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills
• Experience working in a systems/software engineering environment, using agile tools, automation, and applying best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing network infrastructures; including network device set up and configuration.
• Familiarity with network switching and routing concepts and protocols.
• Experience with Linux (preferably Red Hat).
• Familiarity with concepts of Cybersecurity.
• Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics to both technical and non-technical staff.
• Coursework in Computer Architecture, Networking, Digital Systems, Microprocessors, Cybersecurity, and/or System Hardening.
• Experience designing and implementing network infrastructures; including network device set up and configuration.
• Familiarity with network switching and routing concepts and protocols.
• Experience with Linux (preferably Red Hat).

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
