Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Desktop Support Associate to provide specialized support to consulting and technical teams by contributing to various stages of the desktop support life cycle. You will assist the team and other Desktop Support Associates by providing production and maintenance support, conducting root-cause analysis of issues, ensuring high quality and on-time customer service. You will play a critical role by contributing to the knowledge management process while interfacing with internal teams and driving higher efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:
•    Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Omaha, NE, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
•    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
•    At least 0-1 year of Information Technology experience.
•    Be the Point of contact for user problems with hardware and software, including printer support (on site/remote/by phone). 
•    Respond to client support requests raised through ITSM tool/emails.
•    Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on laptops, desktops, workstations etc. and maintain optimum performance.
•    Address customer requests for installation, configuration, test, maintenance of hardware and software components
•    Support root cause analysis of equipment problems and provide effective diagnosis, respond to customer requests via phone and e-mail in a timely and accurate manner
•    Conduct: Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software and visiting the client’s desk when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Working Knowledge administering desktop applications, tech refresh, OS (Operating System – Windows 10/11) deployments and configurations, meeting support and meeting SLAs.
•    Proficient in hardware troubleshooting skills – replace parts in laptops/desktops.
•    Exposure to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Based processes will be advantageous.
•    Good knowledge of MS Office suite.
•    Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation
•    Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills
•    Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
•    Exceptional Organizational Skills
•    Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
•    Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
•    Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
•    Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.  Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.  Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
