Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting .NET Developer to join our Alternatives Systems team. In this role you will develop new features and modify existing capabilities to extend the functionality of business-critical applications.
Area of Responsibility:
Programming
- Produce code for .NET based applications that meet user requirements and conform to departmental standards regarding documentation.
- Analyze and classify change requests, identifying and documenting scope of change and impact on other interfaces.
- Participate in walk-throughs which review program specs, source code, all technical supporting documentation, including screens/reports: provide feedback in accordance with department standards and guidelines.
Support, Testing & Production
- Provide L3 support to clients with software applications.
- Assist in production deployments and new software releases
- Participate in system testing by developing test plans and scripts that thoroughly exercise the application
User Requirements & New Features
- Participate in implementation of changes, enhancements, and newly developed programs.
- Conduct technical research and provide recommendations
- Keep track of vulnerabilities assigned to the team and escalate them appropriately
Desired Qualifications:
Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
- 2 - 5 years application development experience (.NET)
- Working knowledge with MS Visual Studio for Applications and Web Services development (in VB.NET and C#)
- Experience in building SQL queries for SQL Server with understanding of basic principles of data modeling
- CI/CD Ingestion & Automation experience (Jenkins preferred)
- Problem solving skills, able to determine upcoming risks & issues and address them accordingly
- Pro-active approach and good communication skills
