T26/27 HEALTH & PE TEACHER (SHRIVER)

This is a 0.2 FTE position at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Program for SY27.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to communicate and work effectively with principal, staff and parents.
Ability and willingness to work as a team member with special education and general education staff.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to compromise.
Good initiative, flexibility, dependability and organizational skills.
Strong sense of professionalism.
Strong classroom management skills.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with students who have cognitive disabilities.
Willingness to be the educational leader for the adaptive health and physical education program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
Health and PE endorsement.
Lifeguard certification
