Talent Acquisition Coordinator
TEGNA is looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support our recruiting team and keep the hiring process running smoothly.
This role is based at WTHR in Indianapolis and operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office presence required three days per week.
You’ll be part of a centralized TA team supporting multiple markets and will work closely with our TA Operations team to keep processes consistent and efficient.

You’ll partner with recruiters and hiring managers on key steps in the hiring process, including interview scheduling, job postings, offer letters, and background checks, while helping ensure a strong candidate experience.

Responsibilities
Interview Coordination
- Schedule interviews and manage logistics across candidates, recruiters, and hiring teams
- Keep communication clear and ensure a smooth experience for all parties
Job Posting and Requisition Support
- Post and maintain jobs in Greenhouse
- Ensure postings are accurate and aligned with approved roles
Offer Letter Support
- Partner with recruiters to create, route, and send offer letters
- Track approvals and follow up to keep offers moving
Background Check Coordination
- Initiate and track background checks
- Partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely completion
- Flag and help resolve any issues
Process and Workflow Support
- Help keep searches moving by tracking status and following up on next steps
- Support recruiters and hiring managers with day-to-day needs
Scorecard and Process Support
- Monitor completion of interview scorecards and follow up as needed
- Help maintain consistency in the hiring process
Reporting and Tracking
- Maintain basic reporting in Greenhouse
- Help track key steps to ensure visibility and accountability
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve efficiency
- Support efforts to create more consistent and scalable processes
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in recruiting coordination, TA operations, or a similar role
Systems and Tools
- Experience using an ATS such as Greenhouse
- Experience with ServiceNow is a plus
Organization and Follow-Through
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep things moving
Communication
- Clear and professional communicator
- Comfortable working with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates
