About this role
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following duties are representative of the responsibilities expected in this role:
- Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
- Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening logistics, and interview scheduling.
- Maintain proactive communication with candidates to ensure positive and professional experience.
- Support the Apprentice Program by scheduling aptitude tests, interviews, information sessions, onboarding activities, and tracking candidate status.
- Coordinate and assist in the execution of career fairs, apprentice information sessions, and campus events
- Serve as a brand ambassador at recruiting events and promote Hanwha Philly Shipyard as an employer of choice
- Track recruiting metrics and maintain accurate records in internal databases and applicant tracking systems
- Assist in managing recruiting collateral and event materials; oversee recruiting supply inventory and promotional items
- Prepare candidate folders, orientation packets, and onboarding documents
- Manage confidential information and materials
- Helping with campus recruiting coordination and applicant logistics
- Pitching in on other ad hoc projects across Talent Acquisition and HR
- Perform other recruitment-related administrative tasks as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position does not include supervisory duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field.
- Current Enrollment: Must be a rising Junior or rising Senior student.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience in customer service or administrative role is helpful
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
