About this role

We’re looking for a temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist who is passionate about helping people find meaningful work and who thrives on building strong, consultative partnerships with leaders. In this role, you’ll go beyond filling individual positions, you’ll play a critical part in shaping our workforce strategy and guiding hiring teams to make strong, long-term talent decisions.

This is a hands-on position that primarily supports high-volume hiring needs such as caregiving and dining roles, but with a broadened focus on workforce planning, proactive sourcing, and long-range talent development. You’ll partner closely with field HR and hiring leaders to understand their needs, assess gaps, and deliver creative solutions that bring the right people into the right roles.

 

Pay range: $30-35/hr depending on experience

Location: Hybrid (up 25% travel). Preferred locations include Boise, ID; Yakima, WA; Seattle, WA; McMinnville, OR. 

**Please note, this is a temporary position, lasting about 4-5 months. This role would be working 35-40 hours a week***

 

What You'll Do

  • Be a strategic partner: Collaborate with hiring managers to assess team needs, develop workforce plans, and guide them through effective and equitable hiring practices.
  • Lead the search: Source, screen, and connect with prospective candidates; build proactive pipelines and talent communities that align with current and future business needs.
  • Engage talent early: Develop partnerships with colleges, training programs, and community organizations to attract the next generation of caregivers and service professionals.
  • Drive an exceptional candidate experience: Serve as a trusted guide throughout the hiring process, helping candidates understand the personal and professional rewards of joining our mission-driven organization.
  • Support smooth transitions: Partner with HR and operations to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and strong start for every new hire.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of experience, or a High School diploma and 2+ years of relevant HR or recruiting experience
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, hospitality, or not-for-profit environments
  • A consultative, service-oriented mindset — you care about helping people succeed and building trusted relationships
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
