As a Talent Manager, you will play a key role in our ability to deliver what we promise to our customers.
You will drive the culture, development and engagement of the workforce through talent management and talent acquisition activities, building and supporting a positive culture and ensuring an effective organization by:
- Working with plant leadership to develop a strong talent pipeline and succession plan through the execution of robust talent development strategies
- Proactively identifying employee development needs and work to execute methods and processes to meet the needs of the business
- Collaborating with plant leadership to proactively build capacity by leveraging internal and external resources to drive change and increase capabilities of the organization
- Partnering with the business on workforce planning, including recruiting strategies, organizational design, job assessment and definition
- Managing performance appraisal, development and advancement processes
- Driving a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives
- Overseeing the hourly employment office, managing workforce deployment based on contractual obligations and corporate policies
- Supporting the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology
- Supporting the development of the plant Employment staff
Key experiences and Know-How:
The following prior experiences will be required for someone to be successful in this role:
- Leading talent management activities and successfully building talent pipelines
- Assessing talent gaps, creating and executing plans to close those gaps
- Managing recruiting and talent acquisition processes
- Coaching and collaborating with leaders regarding their talent needs both current and in the future
- Managing manpower and headcount for organizations
- Utilizing lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development
- Analyzing data and using data to make decisions

- Focus on the future, using the shared vision of the plant to guide current developmental activities with an understanding of what will be needed
- Innovative and adaptable in application and execution of processes to support specific talent needs of the plant
- Collaborative with others in all areas ranging from the union on workforce management topics up to the plant manager on future plant capability needs

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources or related fields
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of 7 years in Human Resources
- Experience leading others
- Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
