Arcosa, Inc. is seeking a Summer Financial Analyst Intern in our Dallas headquarters in the Tax department. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for a college student interested in accounting, finance, or tax to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment. No prior tax experience is required—just a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. As a Summer Tax Analyst Intern, you will have a multi-faceted role which spans across all types of taxes which Arcosa is, or may be, subject to over a 5-10 week period.

Arcosa, Inc. (NYSE: ACA) is a growth-oriented manufacturer and producer of infrastructure-related products and services. The company has businesses with leading positions in construction, energy, and transportation markets with annual revenues in excess of $2B.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with sales and use tax audits, including data gathering and document preparation
  • Organizing and maintaining corporate tax files and documentation
  • Supporting the preparation and processing of tax payments
  • Assisting in reconciliation of tax accounts in the general ledger
  • Running reports from Oracle and assisting with data analysis
  • Helping prepare and file various tax returns under supervision
  • Assisting in drafting responses to tax notices
  • Participating in ad hoc projects and other tasks as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Seeking bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, be creative and innovative
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while performing various assignments and duties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
