Medical Assistant Team Lead – Riley Pediatrics Primary Care 

 

  • Location: Carmel, IN
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Min of two years of experience required as a Certified Medical Assistant 
  • Current certification required 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Previous Pediatrics experience strongly preferred 

 

 

Join a stable, experienced pediatric team in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic. This role combines direct patient care with team leadership, quality initiatives, and workflow support. Experience in Pediatrics or Family Medicine is preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients and collect clinical information
  • Assist providers with patient care
  • Support daily clinic workflow
  • Serve as a resource for MA team members
  • Conduct quality and standard work audits
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with documentation and communications
  • Crosstrain on basic registration functions

Provides functional guidance to support staff and performs the duties of a medical assistant in accordance with organization standards. Provides coordination of administrative services to ensure smooth operation. May coordinate scheduling, training, and inventory duties. May be responsible for inpatient and outpatient consult activities within assigned location. May perform computerized physician order entry, only if directed by assigned physician.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant program and/or certification from America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), National Center for competency Testing (NCMA), and/or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC).
  • AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • 2 years' experience as an MA II or III is required.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
  • Requires ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Requires basic math and accurate data collection and entry skills.
