Overview The Healthcare Coordinator SBU – Team Lead serves as a senior member of the Client Services team and plays a key role in ensuring high‑quality service delivery, operational consistency, and team development. This role performs all SBU Healthcare Coordinator responsibilities while also providing daily guidance, workflow oversight, and mentorship to the SBU Healthcare Coordinator team. The Team Lead embodies Gallagher’s culture of Trust, Accountability, and Teamwork and contributes to sustaining and growing the business through exceptional service, strong relationships, and operational excellence. How you'll make an impact Team Leadership & Oversight Provide daily guidance, coaching, and support to SBU Healthcare Coordinators. Monitor workload distribution and adjust assignments to meet deadlines. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex service issues. Support onboarding and training of new team members. Conduct quality reviews of team work products, including quotes, renewals, and enrollment materials. Promote a positive, collaborative team culture aligned with Gallagher’s values. Partner with leadership to identify and implement process improvements. Client Service & Operational Support Deliver professional, unparalleled customer service to clients, carriers, agents, and vendors. Support Benefit Consultants with complex client needs. Advocate for clients and employees with carriers and vendors to ensure timely resolution. Prepare client healthcare benefit renewals and proposals. Maintain poise under pressure and follow through on commitments. Maintain focus on client satisfaction and retention. Technical & Analytical Responsibilities Prepare and review client quotes for group insurance products. Analyze client bills, conduct financial comparisons, and ensure accuracy in all deliverables. Support internal and external installation processes. Maintain strong attention to detail and adherence to established procedures. Competencies All competencies required of a Healthcare Coordinator apply, including: Customer Service, Professionalism, Teamwork, Analytical Skills, Problem Solving, Quality, Dependability, Adaptability, Written and Oral Communication, and Business Acumen. Additional competencies required for the Team Lead role include: Leadership – Guides and supports team members effectively. Delegation – Assigns tasks appropriately and follows up on completion. Coaching – Provides constructive feedback and supports skill development. Workflow Management – Oversees daily operations and ensures timely execution. Decision‑Making – Makes sound judgments and escalates appropriately. About You Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience, OR High School degree with 8 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience. License required. Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time. Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
