Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of technical program management experience, leading and managing technology projects in all phases, from evaluation to design and execution.
  • 2 years of experience with data center operations and automation within critical infrastructure.
  • 2 years of experience in vendor management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience developing or implementing enterprise software solutions at scale in critical infrastructure environments.
  • 4 years of experience orchestrating program strategy and leading program teams to deliver business, operational, and technical improvements as measured by impact on organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • 2 years of experience in Security Operations, EHS, or Compliance and Risk Management.
  • Ability to independently drive complex, large-scale technical projects, utilizing analytical and quantitative skills to align technology with business goals.
  • Collaborative people management skills to work cross-functionally, pivot in fast-moving environments, and effectively influence all levels of management.

The Compliance Strategy and Risk Management (CSRM) team is dedicated to physically protecting the people and assets that support Google’s Data Centers and global critical infrastructure.

As a member of CSRM, you will help integrate safety, security, and resiliency into every facet of Google. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and monitor enterprise risks, giving business leaders the critical information they need to make strategic decisions and driving sustainable, industry-leading safety programs.

CSRM Security Operations and Strategy (SOS) is seeking a creative, organized Technical Program Manager to join us in innovating, building, and sustaining safety and security systems across our rapidly growing data center fleet. You will have a blend of leadership, collaboration, and deep technical expertise to drive projects central to our operational excellence.

US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver measurable business, operational, and technical improvements in Data Center.
  • Provide program leadership to implement and build software and hardware products pertaining to Security Operations within the Google Data Center environment.
  • Work across all of Google Data Center, CSRM, DCTS and data center operation to ensure the program elements are in line with the business risk appetite.
  • Drive rapid evaluation, deployment and strategy around new technologies against GDC, Cloud and Alphabet outcomes.
  • Drive consensus among executive cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and program success.
