About this role

Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.

Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.

About the role:

Crusoe is at the intersection of technology and infrastructure. As our Summer AI intern, you won’t just be "learning" about AI—you’ll be building it. You will sit within our Real Estate vertical, identifying and solving complex inefficiency bottlenecks through agentic workflows.

Your primary mission? Ship a production-ready MVP Chief-of-Staff AI agent. You will move from process mapping to prototype to executive demo, ensuring that the CTO office scales as fast as our infrastructure.

What You’ll Build

  • Develop an agent capable of meeting prep, decision memos, action-item capture, and stakeholder Q&A.
  • Design workflows involving tool use, multi-agent coordination, and long-term memory.
  • Map business processes (BPMN) to identify automation candidates and quantify business value (hours saved, error-rate deltas).
  • Handle the end-to-end lifecycle: data prep (SQL), logic (Python/Dataiku), and lightweight UIs.
  • Instrument success with KPIs (latency, precision/recall, cost) and provide a final run-book for IT supportability.

Who You Are

We are looking for a unique blend of technical fluency and business grit. You are someone who can write code in the morning and present a 1-page strategy memo to an executive in the afternoon.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS, MBA, or MS program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field graduating between Fall 2026-Spring 2027.
  • Technical Fluency: Ability to read/write code and discuss data architecture comfortably.
  • Data Stack: Hands-on with Python and SQL; experience calling REST APIs and parsing JSON.
  • AI Knowledge: Working understanding of LLMs, prompt design, and agentic patterns (RAG, function calling, planning).
  • Analytics: Ability to build basic dashboards (Tableau/Sigma) and compute product metrics.

Professional DNA:

  • Bias to Action: You prefer a "fast experiment" over a long meeting.
  • High Agency: You can take ambiguity, build a backlog, and manage your own project plan.
  • Executive Presence: You write concisely and present with confidence.

Success Metrics

By the end of your 12 weeks, you will have delivered:

  • A functional MVP integrated with enterprise systems.
  • A quantified value report showing cycle-time reduction.
  • An operational run-book for long-term IT maintenance.

Candidates must be available to work full-time during one of the following internship periods:

  • May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026
  • June 1, 2026 – August 21, 2026
  • June 15, 2026 – September 4, 2026
