Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Technology Research Intern for our Hunt Innovative Technology department located in our Dallas, TX office. This is a paid summer internship opportunity with housing provided if needed.

This intern will support the identification and validation of emerging technologies that align with Hunt’s strategic goals, working closely with entrepreneurial leaders such as the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR). This role provides valuable exposure to market creation, disruptive innovation, and the development of new organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on emerging and disruptive technologies relevant to energy and connectivity
  • Assist in analyzing industry trends, competitive landscapes, and innovation strategies
  • Collaborate with the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) and Innovation team on strategic initiatives
  • Prepare research summaries, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and innovation workshop

Required Degree Background:

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree or master’s in Chemistry, Electronics Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related degree.
  • Minimum of 3.0 grade point average

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools or platforms
  • Basic understanding of market analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Technical writing and documentation
  • Experience with or interest in cloud computing, energy systems, or connectivity technologies
