From everyday calls to urgent situations, you’ll play an important role in keeping communication flowing across the entire hospital.%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22background-color:white;mso-background-themecolor:background1;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cstrong%3EResponsibilities:%3C/strong%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EMay train new operators.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMay be required to do system data entry on request.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProvide service to multiple answering service clients utilizing individualized protocols.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProcess appropriate emergency code or STAT page.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EInitiate voice pages when required.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProvide Physician on call information to requesting individuals.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EUse required phrasing at all times when answering telephone calls.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProvide dialing instructions to patients when requested. Answer multiple lines while maintaining good customer service.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDetermine caller%27s requirements (extension desired, information requested, etc.) and transfer call.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProvide status report on any page in progress to the individual requesting the page.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience answering and processing calls through automated phone system or 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Must be able to work all shifts, 7 days a week. 
• Ability to interpret procedure manuals (i.e., fire, trouble, disaster, etc.).
