Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking a Temporary Fugitive Coordinator, who will be employed through the third-party staffing agency named above. This position will be located at the Freeport, TX manufacturing site. In this role, you will have the primary responsibility of maintaining environmental regulatory compliance pertaining to fugitive air emissions within a process area, ensuring Olin’s permit/license to operate. As a team member within the Olin Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) function, the Fugitive Coordinator role will support multiple blocks/departments and work closely with production leadership, EHS leadership and site EHS teams.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the timely repair and monitoring of leaking components as well as routine monitoring as required
- Maintain accuracy of Out of Service (OOS) and Delay of Repair (DOR) status, Difficult-to-Monitor (DTM), and Unsafe-to-Monitor (UTM) components
- Track and manage fugitive changes through the MOC process, including any concerns/issues for further review
- Participate in fugitive assessments, regulatory audits, and agency inspections; as needed, in Root Cause Analysis to help prevent and avoid fugitive-related deviations
Maintain the accuracy of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), including but not limited to reviewing and updating P&IDs
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree* in EHS or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing or related industry
- Ability to work independently on complex projects, manage conflicts, and provide resolution using a combination of technical skills, teamwork, and personal credibility; must have solid Microsoft Office skills
- Must be physically capable climbing stairs and fixed ladders, working outdoors for periods of time, and be willing to wear the necessary personal protective equipment
- Must have relevant knowledge of manual block valves, control valves, flanges, pumps, and line connectors, including the ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
Must possess a valid US Driver's license
*Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
