Lakeland Regional Health is a leading medical center located in Central Florida. With a legacy spanning over a century, we have been dedicated to serving our community with excellence in healthcare. As the only Provisional Level 1 Trauma center for Polk, Highlands, and Hardee counties, and the second busiest Emergency Department in the US, we are committed to providing high-quality care to our diverse patient population. Our facility is licensed for 910 beds and handles over 200,000 emergency room visits annually, along with 49,000 inpatient admissions, 21,000 surgical cases, 4,000 births, and 101,000 outpatient visits.

 Work Hours per Biweekly Pay Period:  40.00-80 hours

Shift: Monday - Friday.
Location: 210 South Florida Avenue Lakeland, FL 
Pay Rate: Min $29.00
Position Summary


The Talent Acquisition Consultant is a high performing recruiter with a passion for acquiring talent, marketing the organization, and building talent pipelines. He/she coordinates and implements innovative strategies to attract top talent who meet current and future business needs. The Talent Acquisition Consultant administers the full recruitment life cycle for relevant job openings, and serves as a consultant to both applicants and managers. This position has a reporting relationship to the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Standard Work Duties: Talent Acquisition Consultant
  • Recruiting, Sourcing & Marketing - Develop and implement timely recruitment strategies to identify, source and attract high quality candidates. Write accurate and appealing job ads, conduct effective job intakes with hiring managers. Avoid aged requisitions, reqs with no candidtes, and high days to fill. Focus on efficient, proactive approaches, and sustainable pipelines.
  • Candidate Assessment - Screen, assess, and behaviorally interview candidates. Properly review candidate references, background checks, education, employment, licensur, certification, and behavior during screening & assessment. Match diverse, high performing talent to positions in which they will be successful and retained with minimal turnover.
  • Communication - Professional, clear, prompt, frequent, and friendly consultative communication with hiring managers and applicants, resulting in satisfied customers and trusting relationships.
  • Accuracy & Compliance - Ensure accuracy of data in employee HRIS records, pay calculations, SharePoint files, requisitions, and all other documentation to ensure smooth problem-free onboarding. Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and local employment practices and labor laws, industry trends and best practices, standard work procedures, and LRH policies.


Competencies & Skills

Essential:

  • Knowledge of employment law.
  • Proficient current computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, use of internet job posting sites, and web-based database navigation.
  • Ability to multi-task and function well in a detail oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work in team environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills


Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • High School or Equivalent

  • Bachelor Degree

Certifications Essential: Per department or hospital requirements and relevant policies
Certifications Preferred: PHR/SPHR Experience
