Social Media Resident - Communications
The Social Media Resident reports to the Content Manager. This is a support-raised, full-time
position from August - July.
Position Summary
The Social Media Resident at The Village Church will support our Communications team by
helping create, schedule, and publish content across our social platforms. This role offers
hands-on experience in digital ministry, collaboration with various church ministries, and
opportunities to develop creative and design skills.
Job Responsibilities
● Assist with social media content creation, posting, and scheduling
● Collaborate with ministries to gather content and highlight their events and stories
● Create simple graphics and visual content in Canva
● Monitor engagement and interact with our online community in alignment with TVC’s
voice and values
● Support the Communications team in brainstorming and planning social campaigns
● Active involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events
Qualifications and Requirements
● Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith and Theological Distinctives and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
● Ability to work within the context of a team
● Proficient experience in coordination and administration
● Proficient experience in developing and managing volunteers
● Proficient experience in database management
● Proficient experience in recruiting practices
● Flexible and adaptable
