What We Offer

Novant Health Pediatrics SouthPark is seeking a full-time Therapist III!

 

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

 

The Therapist III is responsible for making treatment and level of care decisions independently. They collaborate as needed with their physician providers. As an autonomous provider in the outpatient setting, the therapist is responsible to manage their own schedule, refer patients as needed to a higher level of care or request consultations. They are individually credentialed with payers to bill for services. A referral is not required to initiate treatment. The Therapist provides individual, family, group therapy and collaborative care as appropriate in the outpatient setting. They complete patient assessments, plan for therapeutic interventions and appropriate follow up care, implementation treatment plans, coordinate the treatment process. Also demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age and cultural diversity of the patients served. In addition, the therapist will uphold and demonstrate the Novant Mission, Vision and Values: Compassion, Diversity, Personal Excellence, and Team Work.


What You'll Do

Job responsibilities include:

  • Conduct individual inpatient therapy sessions for patients with qualifying diagnoses.
  • Follow up on referrals, treatment orders, and care plans to ensure patients are connected with appropriate community resources and support services.
  • Coordinate care among patients, families, schools, healthcare providers, and external agencies to promote positive treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and care coordination activities.
  • Advocate for patients by ensuring continuity of care and addressing barriers to accessing needed services.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Graduate Degree, required. Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years experience, required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    •  Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor or Clinic Phd/PsyD level Psychologist, required.
    • For the Substance Use Therapist role, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate with above required license, preferred.
    • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire. Team members in strictly remote positions are exempt. Team members working strictly in behavioral health outpatient clinics are exempt from state approved curricula but are required to take NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months of hire, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for Behavioral Health Age Specific populations.
