***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP*** This position is located at the Joint Force Headquarters (State) in the Chief Information Officer CIO/G6 Directorate. This position works in the customer support section and is directly supervised by the Mobility Device Manager, Service Desk Manager or designee. The primary purpose of this position is to support the organization's mobile device program and executive communications. The incumbent is responsible for supporting program aspects of configuring, deploying and providing direct support for handheld assets such as mobile telephones, tablets, mobile hot-spots and temporarily assigned handheld assets used by faculty, staff and participants. 1. Addresses problems; installs, configures, troubleshoots, and provides maintenance and training in response to customer requirements or inquiries (e.g., tiered-level customer support). provides initial incident information to the Incident Response (IR) Specialty. Receives requests for resolution of hardware or software problems that may require in-depth research. Analyzes customer problems and researches possible solutions or tasks with the appropriate subject matter expert or section capable of resolving the problem. Responds to a variety of failures to devise recovery plans for device failures. Re-configures customer devices as needed and resolves complex problems. 2. Manages all mobile devices using a physical environment or a cloud-based mobile device management (MDM) solution. Analyzes complex mobile device issues pertaining to wireless connectivity; troubleshoots VPN connections from all mobile devices; analyzes and corrects mobile connectivity related to government issued mobile devices. First line of response to senior level mobile users within the organization to provide immediate and personal customer service and troubleshooting of mobile device problems. 3. Verifies mobile device compliance to a baseline level of security using the DISA security technical implementation guides configuration standards and agency policies and procedures. Verifies and reports compliance for all information assurance vulnerability alerts and bulletins for workstations to the information assurance security officer. Evaluates, plans and deploys patches and security updates to mobile devices as required. Ensures mobile devices pass security readiness reviews. Responsible for maintaining Risk Management Framework (RMF) records for assigned information systems to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. 4. Updates hardware and software architecture databases to reflect installations, turn-ins, and changes in reportable software. Works directly with Property Book Officers and Supply Sergeants to ensure all assigned and transitional property is accounted for. Performs cyclic inventories as required by the Command Supply Discipline Program. 5. Coordinates external vendor support for warranty repairs when applicable and ensures proper escort assigned while work is performed. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: experience includes experience, education and training that provided knowledge of communications equipment, systems, services, and transmission media; knowledge of electronic communications concepts, principles, practices, procedures, policies, standards, and operational requirements; application of specialized communications methods and analytical techniques; technical knowledge of the operational and performance characteristics of communications equipment, automated control and network management systems, transmission media, and the relationships among component parts of telecommunications systems; and competencies in the subject matter or business processes associated with the DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force telecommunication programs.
Education
You must meet the following Education requirement to qualify for education in lieu of specialized experience for this position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
