Duties
Supervise subordinate employees within the Production Branch by providing leadership, production management, planning, and operational direction.,Assist superiors in the initial planning phase of projected work including budget requests, staffing needs, and material estimates.,Instruct subordinate employees on the technical requirements, methods, and procedures of planned projects.,Review standard operating procedures for accuracy and compliance.,Analyze mission performance by monitoring production yields, labor hours, leave management, and budget compliance.,Advise subordinate employees on personnel policies regarding performance standards, appraisals, training needs, and leave schedules.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Tool Maker Supervisor without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Toolmaker Supervisor tasks which include providing technical direction to subordinates on work requirements, methods, and sequence of operations for planned projects. I can investigate work-related problems to determine causes and provide resolution. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Lead or Supervise Ability To Use Hand Tools for Machine Shop Ability To Use Shop Drawings Knowledge of Metals Measurement and Layout Operation of Machine Tools Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
