As a Transportation Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our transportation and logistics operations. You will be responsible for scheduling and monitoring shipments through our Transportation Management System (TMS), auditing freight invoices, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
This position reports to the Senior Distribution Manager and requires strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach.

Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:
- Manage the Transportation Management System (TMS) transportation module, maintaining carrier information, rates, and reporting data.
- Coordinate transportation shipments and monitor tendered orders and loads to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
- Audit freight invoices and accurately enter transportation data into the TMS.
- File and follow up on transportation claims to recover funds related to shortages, damages, or delivery issues.
- Work closely with Bakery Customer Service and Accounts Payable teams to resolve shipment and billing concerns.
- Monitor transportation activity and provide updates regarding shipment status and delivery performance.
- Support transportation reporting and maintain accurate transportation records.
What we require:
- 1+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or a related field.
- Experience auditing freight invoices.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of related distribution experience.
What We Prefer
- Experience coordinating frozen or temperature-controlled shipments.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak).
- Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Experience in food manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
