About this role
Pay Rate: $17.00 + (depending on experience)
Shift: 12 hours Swing Shift 7 AM – 7 PM
Summary: Yarn Tech is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring efficient handling of incoming and outgoing goods. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid math skills for calculations, and proficiency in documentation and communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs and/or inventory management systems
- Track material usage for tufting machines and production runs
- Count, track, and reconcile stock levels regularly
- Verify incoming shipments against orders and report discrepancies
- Organize and label inventory for easy identification and access
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overages
- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy
- Collaborate with warehouse, scheduling, and management teams
- Generate inventory reports and maintain proper documentation
- Qualified LTO
- Assist Supervisor as needed in giving feedback and direction for LTO’s within the Tufting Department
- Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in inventory, warehouse, or clerical work preferred
- Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately
- Perform inventory calculations (totals, differences, adjustments)
- Measure and track yarn usage, yardage, and material quantities
- Reconcile physical counts with recorded inventory
- Identify and correct numerical discrepancies
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication skills for reports and instructions)
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, inventory systems, or data entry tools)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- At least one-year previous experience in textile manufacturing or tufting processes preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move items (typically up to 25–50 lbs)
- Standing, walking, and bending for extended period
Work Environment
- Warehouse, manufacturing, or retail storage environment
- May involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
