What You’ll Do:
The Oracle Product Engineer is a position within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure organization and is an important part of hardware manufacturing. Product Engineers require a mix of hardware, software, and networking skills coupled with excellent technical management skills. The Product Engineer will lead the technical activities during New Product Introduction of Oracle hardware products from prototype builds through end of life. This position is an ambitious and rewarding opportunity with an exciting blend of both hands-on technical work coupled with elements of technical program management.
We are seeking an engineer who can strengthen our capabilities and help enable the transition of technology from a development environment to production ensuring Design for Manufacturability. Product engineers are the voice of supply chain from a software and hardware engineering perspective, working with development teams and engineering peers in manufacturing. You will be a leader with vision in finding the most expedient and innovative ways to help the team transition towards a fully automated manufacturing process to deliver product at scale. You will stay abreast of developments in the industry including emerging compute, storage, network, and GPU technologies and find ways of applying these to keep the environment modern and current.
In general, Product Engineers are responsible for:
- Understanding and bridging the requirements and capabilities of manufacturing to the design of a product
- Working with design engineers to understanding product design and defining automated test coverage requirements based on it
- Managing product and process quality within the manufacturing environment (reviewing test failures, driving continuous improvement in automated test)
- Determining Operations qualification requirements for product changes over the lifetime of the product.
What You’ll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications):
To be considered for a Product Engineer position, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field by June 2026.
- Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research in three or more of the following:
- Computer System Architecture
- Supplier Database/Management Systems
- Quality Assurance
- Network Administration
- Mechanical Engineering
- Computer Programming
- Computer Manufacturing
- Supply Chain Design
- Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
- Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2026.
