What We Do
This internship is part of First American’s structured program designed to provide college students with hands‑on experience while developing technical, professional, and interpersonal skills for long‑term career growth. Interns work in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title industry, supported by meaningful project work, executive‑level exposure, and networking opportunities, all under the guidance of a manager or mentor. This role specifically supports product management initiatives, with a strong focus on digital platforms, customer discovery, and early‑stage (0‑to‑1) product evaluation, offering exposure to how product managers, UX designers, and development teams collaborate to identify market opportunities and shape new platform extensions.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Marketing, UX, and Product Development teams to support product discovery and platform initiatives.
- Participate in customer and market research across Escrow, Title, Short‑Term Property Management, and HOA use cases.
- Support discovery efforts by identifying customer needs, workflows, and unmet problems.
- Contribute research insights that inform roadmap development and product decisions.
- Provide input on the customer experience for a new digital platform.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
- An interest and willingness to learn about the Mortgage, Real Estate, Financial, Title Insurance or related industries.
- The ability to solve problems, be detailed oriented and be conscientious about all work completed.
- An ingrained concern for the customer and representing our Company in the best professional manner as possible.

- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Interest in product management fundamentals, discovery practices, and customer‑centric problem solving.
- Curiosity around digital platforms, customer experience design, and how front‑end experiences connect to back‑end systems.
- Familiarity with or interest in market and customer research methodologies.
- Strong critical thinking, synthesis, and communication skills.
- Interest in learning how sub‑accounting supports B2B2B and B2B2C business models (accounting concepts taught in context).
