This is a full-time position in a public school with retirement and full benefits. Instructional Assistants partner with the classroom teachers in every aspect of the educational experience. Montessori educators make decisions regarding curriculum, programming, organization, and communication. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with both children and adults, organized and willing to go the extra mile for the efforts of the school's mission. Some duties will include supporting students' academic and social needs, organizing classroom activities, and overseeing recess and lunch while supporting our positive and creative environment.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT

• Experience in teaching or managing students
• True passion for growing students' abilities
• College degree preferred

Experience with elementary students is preferred, but multiple factors will be considered. Are you skilled in interpersonal relations with students, parents, teachers, staff, and the general public? Do you have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal? Do you love the art of education and instructional design? Are you team-oriented? Are you compassionate and caring while able to maintain professional boundaries? If so, you might be perfect for the instructional assistant position!

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position. Hours are 7:30-3:15.
