About this role

Whether you come from a background in mortgage processing, auditing, compliance, or financial operations, you can be successful in this role. We don’t require a specific degree or experience, but we’re looking for translatable skills and relevant expertise. We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!

About The Role:

As a Validator on our Audit Remediation team, you’ll play a key role in making sure our mortgage closing disclosures are accurate, compliant, and handled with care. You’ll review closing documents, identify any issues, and take action to resolve them, whether that means issuing refunds, making corrections, or ensuring timelines are met. This role blends attention to detail with problem-solving, giving you the chance to make a real impact on both compliance and the customer experience.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:

  • Reviewing mortgage closing disclosures to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting discrepancies or potential compliance issues.

  • Making sure loan files are complete by tracking down missing or incomplete documentation.

  • Providing cures, processing refunds, and issuing corrected disclosures within required timelines.

  • Staying up to date on regulatory guidelines like TRID and applying them in your daily work.

  • Partnering with other teams to share trends and improve processes across the business.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help strengthen the team and culture.

About You:

  • You have a strong attention to detail and take pride in getting things right.

  • You manage your time well and can meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.

  • You’re comfortable juggling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

  • You communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal.

  • You stay organized and can keep track of moving pieces.

  • You adapt quickly to change and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.

  • You provide excellent customer service and approach your work with care.

  • You work well both independently and in a collaborative team setting.

  • You have a strong work ethic and take ownership of your responsibilities.

  • You show up consistently and can be counted on to get the job done.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with mortgage processes such as processing, closing, or underwriting.

  • Familiarity with Encompass and related tools like Fee Variance Worksheets.

  • Knowledge of TRID guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
