Position Duties
This position supports the transportation needs of consumers by providing safe travel and positive daily interaction. As a Part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:
- Safe Transportation: Drive county vehicles an average of 150 miles each day while ensuring passenger comfort
- Consumer Assistance: Help senior adults and wheelchair dependent persons with boarding and exiting in various conditions
- Communication Skills: Communicate clearly with consumers and staff through person to person interaction and two way radio
- Schedule Adaptation: Adjust to daily route changes and maintain flexibility in service needs
- Social Support: Provide friendly interaction and positive social contact throughout the day
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week.
- Transportation operates 4 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Condition of Employment:
- No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
