About this role
This position helps provide and maintain facilities which give church members a place where they can worship, work, make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. This VendorManager position acts as the primary contact for work relating to meetinghouse cleaning, elevators, and piano & pipe Organ Tuning-services for the Internal IFM Division.
Responsibilities
Manages service contracts and quality of work to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and cost effectively covering 4,000+ properties.
Manages an annual budget and performs research/approvals/rejections of invoices with vendors.
Dispatches work to contracted vendors and performs inspections with local onsite visits.
Aids in preparation of operational annual plan.
Implements approved operations and maintenance plan to ensure contractual specifications are being met.
Leads in preparation of scope of work for all vendor managed items.
Works with procurement to identify and secure vendors to establish contracts for vendor managed areas of work.
Communicates frequently with local Facility Managers, contractors, employees, and management to develop and maintain effective relationships.
Environment: In Office - Hybrid Schedule – MF: Home Office, TWR: Church Office Building in SLC. (Minor domestic travel within Utah as needed).
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree, or a related field or equivalent experience. Preferred facility management, property management, business, or communications.
• 2 years' experience in facility and property management
• Knowledge in facility and property management, contractor management and relationship principles
• Must be well-organized, detail oriented, customerservice minded, and a self-starter.
• Proven management skills in multi-disciplined work environment and ability to manage difficult situations to achieve a positive and appropriate resolution.
• Ability to communicate professionally with management, employees, and vendors
• Must be proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office products (e.g., Corrigo, TEAMS, Excel, Word, and Outlook). Must understand and be able to learn department-specific software, web-based programs, internet services and wireless communications.
• Displays strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Essential physical requirements: Constantly operating a computer and other office machinery, sitting for long periods of time, ability to walk through properties and access tight and remote locations in a facility.
