DEERS/RAPIDS Verifying Official (Personnel Assistant III)

CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

Location: Multiple Locations Throughout the United States and U.S. Territories

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain required Government credentials and installation access

Position Summary

The DEERS/RAPIDS Verifying Official performs customer service, eligibility verification, enrollment processing, and identification card issuance functions in accordance with Department of Defense regulations and established operating procedures. Personnel support daily operations at Army Reserve Identification Card facilities and are responsible for maintaining accurate records, protecting sensitive information, and delivering professional customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verifyeligibilitydocumentation and supporting records.
  • Process DEERS enrollment transactions and updates. 
  • Issue Common Access Cards (CACs). 
  • Issue Uniformed Services Identification Cards (USID). 
  • Process family member enrollment transactions. 
  • Verify identity andbenefitseligibility.
  • Review DD Forms 1172 and related documentation. 
  • Maintain compliance with RAPIDS operating procedures. 
  • Protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII). 
  • Maintain appointment schedules and customer records. 
  • Resolve customer inquiries and documentation issues. 
  • Complete required RAPIDS and Government training requirements. 
  • Maintain current certification and credentialing requirements. 
  • Support audits, inspections, and quality reviews. 
  • Participate in continuity of operations activities asrequired. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Three (3) years of administrative, personnel, customer service, military personnel, human resources, or related experience. 
  • Experience using automated databases and computer systems. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to obtain RAPIDS certification. 
  • Ability to obtain andmaintaininstallation access and Government credentials. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or prior RAPIDS certification. 
  • DEERS experience. 
  • Military personnel administration experience. 
  • Army Reserve, National Guard, or Active-Duty personnel support experience. 
  • PriorFederal contract support experience.
  • Experience working with sensitive records and protected information.
