About this role

Build a career where your accessibility expertise directly improves how people discover and choose credit cards. You’ll partner with product, design, and engineering teams to strengthen testing practices and deliver accessible digital experiences at scale.

As a Vice President, Accessibility Tester on the Shopping team, you will serve as a hands-on accessibility testing expert who helps advance accessibility quality across public digital experiences. You will independently assess accessibility risks and defects, translate findings into clear remediation guidance, and influence cross-functional partners through strong expertise and communication. You will help mature testing practices, tooling, documentation, and reporting so accessibility is built into delivery outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior accessibility testing subject matter expert across public credit card shopping experiences
  • Independently own complex accessibility testing work from assessment through remediation follow-through
  • Develop and execute accessibility test strategies, test plans, test cases, and defect management practices
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and ensure issues are prioritized and resolved
  • Provide clear documentation, recommendations, and escalation support to improve governance and decision-making
  • Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, remediation tracking, and risk communication across stakeholders
  • Evaluate and recommend testing tools, automation opportunities, and process improvements to increase effectiveness
  • Stay current on accessibility standards, regulatory expectations, and emerging technologies to strengthen practices

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7 years of experience in digital accessibility, accessibility testing, quality assurance, product testing, or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of WCAG, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, PDF/UA, assistive technologies, and common accessibility barriers
  • Proven ability to operate independently as a senior individual contributor and influence cross-functional partners
  • Experience building or maturing testing practices, documentation, standards, and operating routines
  • Ability to identify accessibility issues from designs and live experiences, review front-end code (HTML, ARIA, JavaScript, React), and provide actionable remediation guidance
  • Hands-on experience testing with assistive technologies, including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, magnifiers, and alternative input methods
  • Strong working knowledge of WAI-ARIA, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and defect management practices in testing tools (for example, Jira)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills across product, design, engineering, legal, compliance, and operations
  • Experience documenting testing guidance and best practices in a team knowledge base (for example, Confluence)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2, and experience in regulated digital environments
  • Experience testing large-scale customer-facing websites or mobile applications, including high-traffic acquisition experiences
  • Experience supporting accessibility test automation, dashboards, reporting, and continuous improvement routines
  • Familiarity with broader technology stacks (for example, Java or .NET) and accessibility considerations for PDFs and automated testing approaches
