About this role

BUILT ON FLAVOR.  FUELED BY PEOPLE.

What’s it like to work at Kinder’s? Well, there’s a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we all cooked over the weekend. Beyond that, there’s also plenty of hard work. Because we don’t just like flavor, we’re obsessed with it.

With over 100 products sold nationwide, we’re now a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We’re not your typical CPG company. Privately held and founder-led, we like to think of ourselves as a pirate ship in a sea of cruise ships. Our crew is adventurous and fearless. We chart our own course and chase big ideas to make food unforgettable.

As we expand globally and approach $1 billion in revenue, we need more smart-and-scrappy, flavor-obsessed people to come aboard. If you’re looking for a place where you can see the real impact of your work... this is it! Every day, you’ll be part of a journey to add flavor to millions of meals and lives.

How You Will Have an Impact at Kinder’s:

The Video Editor at Kinder's will play a pivotal role in our efforts to scale our content production efforts as part of our ongoing transition to more brand-focused storytelling in our marketing approach. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Content Producer, Video Content Producer, and other creative and production team members to support the coordination and execution of branded visual content.

The Video Editor will be responsible for working with Senior Creative Leaders to evolve and coordinate the content post-production process to ensure that all assets are delivered on schedule and with the highest standards as befits our brand. This role requires a results-oriented team member with strong creative skills, an ability to embrace the Company’s brand voice, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and solve problems in real-time, strong communication skills, personal accountability, and the desire to be innovative in their approaches. This role will report to the Company’s Senior Content Producer.

  • Perform color correction, audio editing, and sound mixing to ensure broadcast-ready quality.
  • Add motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, captions, and simple animations when needed.
  • Maintain consistency with brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity across all edits.
  • Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining creative integrity and production timelines.
  • Ensure timely delivery of final assets, including proper versioning for different platforms and formats.

Project & Workflow Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with overlapping deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial edit through final delivery, sometimes with minimal supervision.
  • Organize media assets, project files, and archives to ensure easy access and long-term usability.
  • Follow established workflows and naming conventions to support team efficiency.

Self-Motivation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work independently and proactively, identifying solutions and improvements without being asked.
  • Stay current on video trends, social platform best practices, and editing techniques relevant to consumer brands.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency, storytelling, and production quality.

Production Support:

  • Assist with on-set production support such as media management syncing audio or creating quick turnaround edits.

  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for getting things right whatever it takes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders and drive on-time project delivery.

  • Proficiency in Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro or other comparable NLE software (broader experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus).
  • Experience with digital asset management (DAM) or content management system (CMS) tools a plus (we currently use Canto/ImageRelay).
  • Experience in managing Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Cloud-based file management systems.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL:

The position will be based onsite in Walnut Creek, CA. We strongly believe in the power of culture and community and have a hybrid work structure with 4 days in the office on a weekly basis to encourage collaboration and personal connections that will allow us to better serve our customers and consumer and to have more fun. We have 1 flex day per week with employees having the opportunity to choose to be either in the office or to work from home based on what makes most sense for them and their teams. SEASONED FOR SUCCESS:

  • No two days here are the same.
  • We try to be good team members and good communicators, but we don’t live by hierarchy and structure – everyone is a difference maker here.
  • We make a lot of decisions in the face of incomplete information – our team embraces ambiguity and tries to make good decisions fast rather than great decisions slow.
  • We believe our job is to take smart risk, not to eliminate risk.
  • We believe in growing our skills and becoming a better company with more managerial expertise, but we are an entrepreneurial company at heart.
  • We aren’t trying to be average – we want to do exceptional things, and we are willing to work hard to achieve them.

BENEFITS THAT BRING MORE TO THE TABLE:

We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, 401k, bonus / incentive eligibility, equity grants, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. Kinder’s benefits vary based on eligibility and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.

OUR RECIPE FOR BALANCE:

We believe great culture starts with people. We’re a people-first company built on connection, collaboration, and balance. Most of our work happens in the office to spark creativity and community, but we also offer flexibility so team members have the autonomy to work outside the office when needed to support their work-life balance and personal commitments.
