In addition, this role contributes to the evaluation of partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions through a capability-based lens, supporting diligence, integration planning, and post-deal execution to help realize intended value.

Specific Responsibilities

Enterprise Capability Management & Maturity

  • Provide industry insights and trends to inform future-state capability needs, identifying emerging opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Recommend pragmatic actions that balance near-term performance needs with capability uplift, adjusting scope and sequencing as business conditions evolve.
  • Contribute to operating model evolution (e.g., shared services, centers of excellence, platform models) by identifying capability implications, required governance, and change impacts; partner with business and functional owners to operationalize changes.

    Investment Planning & Portfolio Governance

  • Support investment planning, by aligning intake, business case development, and prioritization to enterprise strategy, capability maturity needs, and funding constraints.
  • Partner with Finance and portfolio leaders to strengthen investment governance, establish success measures, and track benefit realization for priority initiatives.
  • Partner closely with leaders to support the overall success of FFG across the family of companies, aligning priorities, dependencies, and decision points across portfolios.

    Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Lead the Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence team, setting priorities, coaching associates, and delivering measurable improvements using practical problem-solving methods across priority value streams.
  • Identify, size, and prioritize a pipeline of CI initiatives focused on cost, quality, throughput, and experience improvements; support business owners with charters, measures, and governance.
  • Embed CI disciplines into portfolio delivery and post-implementation optimization, ensuring investments translate into sustained process and performance improvement.
  • Support CI capability building through targeted training, coaching, and toolkits for leaders and teams, in partnership with existing operational excellence resources.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead high impact strategic programs or initiatives across IBX in support of short- and long-term strategic goals and priorities; includes establishing the enterprise transformation operating model and stabilizing the end-to-end portfolio lifecycle.
  • Support and operationalize joint venture, partnership, and acquisition efforts by helping define the operating approach, readiness milestones, and early execution plan following a deal.
  • Contribute to due diligence, capability impact assessment, and integration planning; support post-deal execution by coordinating cross-functional actions, tracking value realization, and escalating risks to the appropriate executive owners.
  • Support board and executive engagement by preparing materials, framing decisions, and coordinating meeting agendas, pre-reads, and follow-ups for strategic topics.
  • Provide flexible support for high-impact, time-sensitive enterprise needs by rapidly structuring problem statements, coordinating stakeholders, and driving short term execution where additional capacity is required.

  • Experience leading a team, including developing talent and sustaining gains through standard work and performance management.
  • Experience with partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A evaluation, including capability impact assessment, diligence support, and integration/post-deal execution support.
  • Strong financial acumen (NPV/ROI, scenario analysis, capital allocation, synergy modeling) and experience partnering with Finance to integrate transformation and CI benefits into financial plans and forecasts.
