Duties

Set tables, arrange place settings/table decorations, receive guests, make dining suggestions, answer questions about food/wines/etc, take orders, place orders and receives Food, and Beverages with the kitchen, Bar when required.,Collects cash or payment by credit card and maintains sales record,May provide work direction to other dining room staff as necessary.,Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. 2. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change. 3. Be able to communicate effectively in English. 4. Have work experience performing the duties identified. NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
