Summary of Position:
Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a Warehouse Audit Clerk to join our Distribution Center in Riverside, NJ. This position will be auditing cartons in the Quality Control area and shipping checks in the take-off area.
Job Responsibilities:
Accurately audit cartons using computer software
Perform shipping checks for wrong dock spots and damages
Detect/remove damage product through the process of auditing
Communicate findings/errors to correct departments and supervisors
Assist with bindery compliance issues in Receiving
Support in Print Room on 2nd shift as backup sorting labels and running reports
Requirements:
HS Diploma
QA inspector experience in distribution environment a plus
Computer software skills (MS Excel formatting and entering results)
Accurate counting skills
Attention to detail
Excellent math skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to stand on feet for entire shift and traverse stairs
Ability to lift 50lbs continuously
Flexibility to shift
Flexibility to work additional hours
Ability to follow instructions
Special projects as needed
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday—Friday 1pm to 9pm

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
