Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor supervises the day-to-day operation of the Warehouse department including supervising staff, ensuring accuracy of orders, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. They ensure smooth operations, adhere to safety regulations, and assist in training and development of warehouse personnel. This position will report directly to the Purchasing Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
- Properly rotate products in all freezers, storerooms and cold boxes.
- Deliver the proper product to the proper location.
- Verify that receiving documents are correct by checking them against purchase orders and product received.
- Inspect delivered products.
- Ensure that all purchase orders and invoices are signed, dated and time stamped.
- Ensure all signatures are obtained for all delivered products and assume responsibility for the products.
- Responsible for scheduling Team Members, and conducting performance appraisals, interviews and disciplinary action for the warehouse staff.
- Support the warehouse staff in the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Have knowledge of where the SDS booklet location is for the area.
- Ensure all warehouse areas are clean and organized.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to operate electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and forklift
- Know proper rotation procedures, including but not limited to first in / first out (FIFO) method.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively.
- Flexible working hours and schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as a receiver with two (2) of these years in a supervisory role required.
- Forklift certification required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
- Valid California driver’s license and insurability required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
- Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack with or without assistance.
- Ability to use a hand truck.
Work Conditions:
Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically performed in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is in a high volume, fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
