Duties
Manage the operation of an industrial waste treatment plant, boiler plant, and roads and grounds by establishing deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules and methods and policies established by higher levels of supervision.,Ensure shop stock levels are accurate and inventories are maintained for accountability.,Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; instructs subordinates in new procedures; and provides advice when problems arise.,Develops performance standards, counsels employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.,Ensures that personnel are properly trained in and observe/follow all aspects of hazardous material/waste management including, current regulatory guidance, labeling/identification, handling and response procedures

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Supervisor without more than normal supervision which includes the ability to: (1) Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. (2) Select workers and assign tasks to be performed. (3) Maintains production reports and records. (4) Ensure that personnel are properly trained in and observe/follow all aspects of hazardous material/waste management including, but not limited to, current regulatory guidance, labeling/identification procedures, handling procedures to include storage and transportation, spill and accident notification, and response procedures. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Operation of Job Family Specify Equipment, Machinery, etc. Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments
