RES is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 1+ years of experience, or equivalent internships, to join our Volumetric Water Benefit team.


A Day in the Life
As an Engineer I, your typical day will be a blend of technical collaboration and hands-on project support. You’ll:

  • Collaborate closely with Senior Engineers and other team members to develop designs for ecological restoration, stormwater systems, and erosion & sediment control.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art software like AutoCAD, FlowMaster, HEC-RAS, and GIS to assist in the creation and analysis of hydrologic and hydraulic models.
  • Engage in technical report writing and meticulous data collection/organization to support your team’s projects.
  • Participate in fieldwork to gather critical site data and perform site reconnaissance and assessments.
  • Conducting field visits to assess project sites and observe construction progress, connecting your designs to real-world implementation.
  • Communicating with clients, project stakeholders, and permitting agencies to achieve project goals.

We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

  • B.S. in civil, environmental, water resources, or natural resources engineering (or a related field).
  • EIT eligible
  • Previous industry-related internship
  • Understanding of watershed hydrology fundamentals
  • Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Hydrologic & Hydraulic Modeling
  • Fundamental Civil/Environmental Engineering Concepts 
  • Experience in Reading and Interpreting Plans
  • Basic Experience in Technical Report Writing and Documentation
  • Field techniques (XS, Long pro, survey) and site assessment
