Focus: The Vice President, Sales and Marketing provides strategic and operational leadership for all domestic and international sales and marketing activities within the Winchester Division. This executive will play a pivotal role in shaping Winchester’s competitive market position and achieving profitable growth, leveraging business acumen and technical expertise to execute strategic initiatives, enhance brand presence, and strengthen customer engagement across diverse markets.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for Winchester-branded products, including establishing and overseeing pricing structures, customer service policies, advertising programs, and promotional initiatives.
- Creation of detailed marketing action plans with defined objectives, timelines, and accountability, as well as the annual development of marketing plans and the identification of new market opportunities for strategic business expansion.
- Oversee and manage Winchester’s pricing structures and quotation systems, leading or supporting key sales negotiations and closing high-value deals as required.
- Direct the creation and dissemination of marketing and communications materials to align with corporate branding and market goals, as well as coordinating the preparation of proposals and teaming arrangements for prime and subcontracting opportunities.
- Ensure in-depth analysis of sales performance, marketing program effectiveness, sales forecasting, and customer satisfaction metrics to support data-driven decision-making and oversee accurate reporting and analysis of all sales and marketing activities.
- Foster strong industry relationships and maintain a commanding presence within the ammunition sector to expand Winchester’s customer base and ensure long-term client satisfaction and loyalty.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree*; Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing within the outdoor recreation sector or adjacent industries.
- Strong background in B2B sales, trade marketing, and channel management is essential, along with demonstrated skill in brand development, digital marketing, and partnership management.
- Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams, as well as developing leaders.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of end-to-end product and customer lifecycles.
- Outstanding communicator and relationship builder, able to engage effectively with executive leadership, key clients, and cross-functional partners.
- Must demonstrate high ethical standards and sound judgment, be comfortable operating with discretion and confidentiality, and be willing to perform additional duties as required.
- Valid driver's license.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
