Position Summary:

XWELL is a leader in promoting health and wellness for airport travelers, with over two decades of experience and continued expansion across our portfolio of brands. As we evolve our People Operations function, we are focused on strengthening consistency, compliance, and scalability across both corporate and field environments.


The Human Resources Intern will play a key role in this effort through a structured 12-week program focused on building a comprehensive HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual. This project will support the organization by centralizing policies, standardizing processes, and enhancing accessibility of HR documentation.

In this role, you will partner with HR and operational leaders to review existing materials, document processes, and develop a scalable SOP framework that supports employee experience, operational efficiency, and compliance across the organization.


Responsibilities:

1. SOP Development & Documentation:

· Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing HR policies, procedures, and documents across corporate and field operations
· Organize and categorize documentation by HR function (e.g., onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits)
· Develop and apply standardized SOP templates for consistency and usability
· Draft, edit, and format SOP documents to ensure clarity and alignment with company standards
· Create supporting process maps and workflow documentation where applicable

2. Process Review & Standardization:

· Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and redundancies in current HR documentation
· Partner with HR stakeholders to validate processes and ensure accuracy
· Recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, clarity, and employee/manager experience
· Support version control and document management best practices

3. Team Collaboration:

· Collaborate with HR team members and cross-functional partners to gather insights and feedback
· Participate in team meetings and working sessions to align on priorities and deliverables
· Incorporate feedback into documentation and continuously refine outputs

4. Compliance:

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to HR operations
· Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and organizational information
· Ensure documentation aligns with applicable employment laws and internal compliance standards

5. Project Management:

· Support the development and execution of a structured 12-week project plan
· Track progress against milestones and deliverables
· Provide regular updates to leadership on project status and key outcomes

Requirements

  

Required Qualifications:

· Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· High attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

· Interest in HR operations, process improvement, or organizational development
· Experience with documentation, research, or administrative projects
· Exposure to HR systems (HRIS, ATS, or LMS platforms)

Program Structure (12 Weeks):

· Weeks 1–2: Onboarding, training, and documentation audit
· Weeks 3–6: Process mapping and SOP drafting
· Weeks 7–10: Review, refinement, and stakeholder validation
· Weeks 11–12: Final SOP manual delivery and presentation

This is a paid internship.  Candidate must reside within NJ/NY/PA.  Final presentation will be in person in our NYC corporate office.
