1182 - Junior Frontend Developer - Part-Time

We need an English-fluent part-time Junior Frontend Developer based in Latin America, available to work remotely. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person who is constantly learning and improving their skills. ## Responsibilities - Develop new user-facing features using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for small to medium-sized business websites and web applications of varying complexity. - Customize pre-built HTML/PHP templates to suit specific client requirements, including color choices, design features, and needs. - Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. - Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers. - Support customers with inquiries and needs. - Work independently and hit deadlines. Communicate and reach out for assistance when needed. ## Requirements - 1+ years of experience working as a Frontend Developer. - Code proficiencies: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. - Experience with Laravel, WordPress, or Webflow is a plus. - Experience with ticketing systems, customer service, and/or customer support is strongly preferred. - Proficiency in Git for collaborative development. - Technical understanding of MVC design patterns, UX/UI design, and RESTful APIs. Agile methodology is a plus. - Basic security knowledge, including CSRF protection and XSS prevention. - Strong problem-solving abilities to debug and troubleshoot issues. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with teammates. - Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities and balancing tasks across projects. ## Compensation and employment The salary range offered for this part-time (20 hours per week) position is USD $500–$700 per month, depending on seniority and skillset. This is a part-time contract through a payroll platform. The talent will work remotely, allocated at the client.
