2027 BNY Summer Internship Program - Engineering (Developer) - Pittsburgh, PA

The Engineering (Developer) Summer Intern will contribute to the end-to-end software development lifecycle, build and enhance software capabilities, apply modern engineering practices, and collaborate with technical and product teams to deliver secure, reliable solutions.

What you'll do:

• Contribute across the end-to-end software development lifecycle by translating client and business needs into technical designs; building and enhancing features, APIs, automation, developer tools, and platform capabilities; and supporting testing, release, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Use best-in-class, enterprise-approved AI coding tools to accelerate development, testing, debugging, and documentation while validating outputs and protecting information
• Apply modern engineering practices, including source control, code review, reusable frameworks, automated testing, and CI/CD
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product partners to solve problems and deliver secure, reliable solutions
• Contribute to the development of applications and features that support business and engineering needs
• Help improve software quality by identifying issues, testing solutions, and supporting implementation
• Support teams in delivering reliable, effective technology solutions through strong development practices

What they're looking for:

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying
