About this role
BNY is a leading global financial services company that uses advanced technology to support the global financial system. The Engineering – Production Services internship supports application and technology platform maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational improvement in a complex enterprise environment. Interns will collaborate across teams, leverage AI and automation, and gain experience across the software development lifecycle.
What you'll do:
- Support the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications and technology platforms in a complex enterprise environment
- Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute work, resolve issues, and support both short-term fixes and long-term improvements
- Leverage AI and other toolsets to monitor production health, analyze trends and performance data, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
- Document procedures, configurations, and support activities while building knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
- Help teams maintain reliable technology platforms and minimize disruption through timely issue resolution and support
- Contribute to stronger operational performance by identifying trends, improving processes, and supporting platform health
- Support the long-term stability and efficiency of applications used across the business

What they're looking for:
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred
- Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying
- Keen interest in problem solving and tackling new technology challenges; quick thinking and results focused
- Knowledge and usage of AI tools like Windsurf and Claude
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and balance multiple tasks by effectively organizing the workload
- Ability to work as part of a global, cross-functional team, including flexibility to support multiple locations when necessary
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Keen interest in industry best practices and a commitment to staying updated on the latest trends and technologies
