About this role
Textron Systems is seeking a Software Engineer Co-Op to support its Uncrewed Land & Air Systems team in research and development initiatives for land products and programs. The role contributes to the full software development lifecycle and military vehicle system development within an interdisciplinary engineering team.
What you'll do:
- Tasks related to the full software development life cycle including design, development, build, integration, test, and delivery
- Working within a medium-sized software development team on tasks related to military vehicle system development
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science/computer engineering/CIS/MIS or a related field
- Experience with hardware and software integration is preferred but not required
- Experience with standard communications protocols (TCP, UDP, CAN, Serial) preferred but not required
- Experience with software management tools such as Mercurial, Git, Jira preferred but not required
- Experience with Linux and Windows development environments preferred
- Ability to work 40 hours/week (This schedule is on a combination 5/8, 4/10, with every other Friday off!)
- This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
